New York City & New Jersey
Restaurant renovations.
Hospitality buildouts.
Altz Group’s restaurant and cafe portfolio includes interior renovations, full buildouts and detailed finish work in New York City.
Manhattan experience
Renovation in an operating restaurant.
At Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, 148 West 51st Street, Altz’s documented scope covered a 10,000-square-foot interior renovation while the restaurant remained open. Work included custom millwork, doors, glass, tile and detailed finishes.
An operating restaurant brings an additional planning question: how the construction scope relates to the areas that continue serving staff and guests. Access, sequencing and the relationship between the work zones and existing interiors need to be discussed at the start of the assignment.
Buildout experience
From an interior scope to a finished space.
Kirsh Restaurant & Bakery at 551 Amsterdam Avenue is a full restaurant buildout in the portfolio. Additional hospitality work includes Ansa Coffee and Root & Bone. Explore their project pages for the individual scopes and galleries.
Restaurant interiors combine guest-facing details with the building systems behind them. Our commercial-interior services coordinate trade work, millwork, lighting and finishes with the project’s design and construction requirements.
Planning your restaurant
Start with the space and operating plan.
Share the location, the intended restaurant or cafe use, available drawings and whether the assignment is a new buildout or a renovation. Include the proposed equipment layout, any known existing-condition issues and whether the business will remain in operation.
Those details support an early conversation about scope, building-systems coordination, procurement and site logistics. Altz provides general contracting or construction management according to the needs of the assignment, through field execution, quality review, punch lists and closeout.
